TRAC 100 TRAC Writing Fellows Seminar 4 Credits

Training for students entering the TRAC Writing Fellows Program. The class explores theories and practices of peer feedback in the writing process. Our approach is student-centered and inquiry-driven. We use the TRAC acronym as a throughline to incorporate the use of technology, research, and communication into an enriching and comprehensive learning experience. Students will collaborate to develop effective strategies for conducting writing conferences. Students’ learning is shaped by peer-to-peer interactions and the development of multiple writing projects.

TRAC 110 The Writing Process for TRAC Fellows 1-4 Credits

An immersion in the writing process for TRAC Fellows. The course builds on the student-centered approach to learning that was introduced in TRAC 100 through an emphasis on curiosity, creativity, agency, reflection, collaboration, feedback, and revision. Students will work on a semester-long writing project that is self-designed and personally meaningful. Work days and peer writing conferences are key elements of the weekly schedule. Reading includes the literature on composition studies, information literacy, pedagogy, rhetoric, the arts, and technology.
Repeat Status: Course may be repeated.
