Entrance Examinations

The Office of Admissions practices a "test-optional" policy regarding submission of the SAT or the ACT for both first-year and transfer applicants.  Applicants who choose to include standardized testing in the evaluation of their application are required to submit an official score report from either The College Board (CEEB code 2365) or ACT (ACT code 3612) to verify the authenticity of exam results.  The most up-to-date information on requirements can be found on the Lehigh Admissions website: www1.lehigh.edu/admissions/apply.

Additionally, Lehigh requires official results from an English proficiency assessment for applicants whose first language is not English.  Exceptions are granted if the applicant’s first language is English, or the last two full years (not including the current year of study) of completed formal instruction have been in English. The TOEFL and IELTS are preferred, however, Duolingo English Test will be considered if those exams are not available to the student. Scores must be submitted directly from the testing/assessment agency, and the most competitive candidates score above a 90 on the TOEFL, 7.0 on the IELTS, or 110 on Duolingo. The most up-to-date information on requirements for non-US citizens can be found on the Lehigh Admissions website: www1.lehigh.edu/admissions/undergrad/intl
